It states: "To camp in style, comfort, and/or luxury while still experiencing the great outdoors; to go glamping.
Tim: Hey, do you want to go camping this weekend ?
Alan: Nah, that's beat. I'd much rather glamp and be comfortable."
Perfect. No offense to hotels or to rustic tent camping, but our family likes the conveniences of our own home. That's right, it's our second home. Sure it's nice to stay at a resort now and then, but to us there is nothing better than hitting the open road, having adventures all along the way, with a final destination usually in mind, with the comforts of our own beds. When we step into our RV, we are stepping into a place where we have grown, made memories, laughed, cried and become a closer family. We are not limited to any one place. It's pure freedom. Don't get us wrong, our lives are good. We are self employed in a successful business that we work very hard for, we have have four amazing, intelligent kids, and we are fortunate to be healthy and happily married. Life for us is busy, so when we "escape" for one of our many RV adventures, we do so to recharge our batteries and step away from schedules, etc. Basically, we take time out to reconnect and just be. It's really what life is all about for us. We can honestly say, that although we love what we do for a living, we now work to live, not live to work. Life is too short, and as you get older it does seem to go by faster. Over the past few years however, we have had to be more creative in getting away together as our kids have gotten older. We now have two kids that live away from us that are in college with different schedules, so making time to be with each other has become more of a challenge. Sadly, there are some trips that they can't come on, but we are moving forward the best we can and include everyone as often as possible. This will continue to change and get more complicated- but we will do our best to stay connected and do things together as a family. We will be flexible. That is one of the major benefits of Rving- flexibility. You can come and go as you please. When you arrive at a destination and you don't like it, you just leave and go somewhere else. It's pretty cool to have that kind of control. There are some places we have gone to and the weather has become inclement, we simply look at a weather map to find better temps, call a new RV park, and leave. Love that.
Our recommendation to anyone is to find what you want to do most in life, make a plan, and just do it. It's what we've done. We truly believe when you set your mind to goals in life, visualize them, you can make them happen. Make sure you take the time, as we have, to stop and smell the flowers...
