Choice #1: Neal and I have decided to "different size" our living arrangements. The market in our area is terrific right now, and with the interest rates being quite low, we decided to throw our house on the market to see what we could do...we took a chance. Meanwhile, we found an adorable two story condo with a full basement- very unique and a perfect fit for our current family size (these kids keep growing up, becoming responsible people and leaving! lol). Low and behold we then sold the house in 12 days! Although our heads were spinning for a few days after, we knew this was all a great decision for us, both finacially and personally. Not only does it make great financial sense, it frees us up to travel more in the RV! It's like we've said before, life is short...live it to the fullest! It is a win-win situation and we are very excited! Talk about Change! It's gong to be terrific!
Choice #2: Some of you may know, we are self employed (Neal is a chiropractor) and we have juggled two offices for several years now. It has been very stressful running two offices as it's just the two of us. This year we decided to make the huge choice to "simplify" our lives by downsizing to one office. We did it, last Thursday was our final day at one of the offices. It took so much careful planning and very honest communication with our patients as to the reasons behind our move. Let's face it, for some of our patients it would entail them going to a new location to see us. Fortunately we are so lucky to have the best patients in the world who were willing to, for some, drive a little further to see their favorite chiropractor. We did it, make some calculated choices, took a chance and made a healthy and positive change for us.
Choice #3: Going with the flow-enjoying the changing scenery. Our family keeps evolving as these kids of our grow up. Despite our trying to somehow stop time (impossible by the way), our kids keep growing up and becoming amazingly responsible people. They are all doing exactly what we hoped for them- they are getting educated and following their dreams. We could sit here and feel sorry for ourselves as their parents as they move on with their lives (which sometimes I have felt inclined to do), or keep moving forward. We choose to move forward, seeing what life will bring and what changes we will make to enjoy the journey. We are truly blessed, we are healthy, we have four amazing children who will contribute to the world in a most positive way, we have each other and we are best friends. And, fortunately for us, we have an RV . What a great way to ride along on this crazy journey called life.
Glamp on my friends...life waits for no one. Find your happiness, make a choice, make change, and enjoy the results.
